What is Ylang Ylang Oil Used For?

In News

Featuring such a quirky name, Ylang Ylang (flower of flowers) actually has many powerful and potent benefits. Ylang Ylang stems from the flowers of the tropical Southeast Asia plant Canaga odorata– giving it a floral base note. From skincare to cosmetics to flavoring, Ylang Ylang is used throughout many different industries. This is due to its sweet, floral fragrance. Other uses for Ylang Ylang include potential antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and digestive relief properties. As with most other essential oils, Ylang Ylang essential oil can also help soothe general anxiety issues, while helping to provide an environment that promotes self healing. It has also been used traditionally as a natural aphrodisiac, which explains why it is commonly used in modern day perfumes!
